Exodus 14

Exodus 14 records the miracle of the parting of the sea. This passage records that Pharaoh changed his mind and followed after the children of Israel with his chariots. As Pharaoh and his army approached Moses heard from the protestors. The problem that the protestors had was that they just looked at it as the Egyptians verses them. If that were the case then the children of Israel would have been in deep trouble. However, they left God out of equation. Moses advice is good for us today. “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance of the Lord.” Moses goes on to assure the people, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” This is terrific advice for us when we are going through hard times. Don’t allow fear to control your life. Stand firm and don’t give up. Realize that the Lord is for you. To walk in faith instead of fear is a great way of life. Just as God parted the waters for the children of Israel He will make a way for you as well.

“Lord, increase our faith. Replace our fear with love and hope. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.”

I bet the actual crossing left everyone speechless. This coupled with the 10 plagues would have proved to me beyond any doubt that Jehovah is the MOST powerful God of all!

When we get to heaven, I want to see the virtual reality experience of the crossing that has to be in High Definition and surround sound!
